Hogan Lovells recognized as the best law firm in the UK for pro bono
LONDON, 4 November 2019 - National pro bono week has kicked off in the UK, and Hogan Lovells has been recognized as the best law firm in the UK for pro bono.
The firm ranked at number one in Legal Week's pro bono survey, with the number of UK pro bono hours totalling to 27,704 for 2018. Legal Week also featured our work on the Westminster and London Bridge inquests, and our investigation as part of the CLANN project.
Separately, the firm's work on the Belonging Project has also been recognized in the Law Society Gazette this week here.
The latest ranking marks another indicator of the practice's successful 2019, which has either been recognized in, or won, nine awards this year. This includes winning the Legal Week 'CSR Innovation' award, the Lawyer's 'Pro Bono Initiative of the Year' award and the Legal Business 'CSR Programme of the Year', as well as achieving 'Standout' status at the FT Innovative Lawyer Awards Europe.
The firm also won a total of 20 awards for the Flip the Switch documentary for our global partnership with Barefoot College.
Yasmin Waljee, International Pro Bono Director, said: "This is a really fantastic recognition of individual lawyer contribution and leadership by the UK partners on pro bono. It is not the hours of pro bono that matter but the remarkable impact of the work undertaken by all the firms listed and those that were not."
