Hogan Lovells Recognised by BITC's Responsible Business Awards
02 May 2014
Our citizenship programme has secured recognition for four initiatives from the leading responsible business association representing 300 senior business leaders in the UK.
Recognition takes the form of a 'Big Tick' awarded by Business in the Community's (BITC) Responsible Business Awards. The firm secured Big Ticks in the following four categories:
- the Unilever International Award, supported by Business Fights Poverty for our programme in Liberia with Action against Hunger;
- the Education Award supported by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills for our ground-breaking partnership with Islington school, Elizabeth Garrett Anderson;
- the Opportunity Now Award for our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace and putting gender at the core of the business agenda;
- the ASDA Enterprise Growth Award for the work of the Hogan Lovells social enterprise practice.
Our Social Enterprise practice was also shortlisted for an Excellence Award which will be determined in June 2014.
The practice consists of over 40 lawyers and is supervised by the firm's Social Enterprise Board. Each member of the team is personally committed to working with social entrepreneurs to forge a better world and make us the premier global firm advising on issues relating to social enterprise and social financing.
The Business in the Community Responsible Business Awards are the UK's longest running and most respected awards encouraging responsible business. The awards promote and celebrate the responsible business movement across the UK.
