Hogan Lovells Ranked Eighth in Global Ranking of Top Legal Sector Brands

Hogan Lovells is ranked eighth in the first ever ranking of top global brands of the legal profession, in between DLA Piper and Skadden Arps. The ranking has been featured in this week's edition of Business Week and this month's edition of The American Lawyer.

Hogan Lovells came ahead of a number of firms including White & Case, Cleary Gottlieb, Herbert Smith and Norton Rose.

The ranking is based on information collected by market research company Acritas. The company conducted a survey of more than 1,000 of the world's largest and most influential buyers of legal services. Clients of Hogan Lovells which took part in the research and were willing to be named participants include Papa John's, Jentex Industries, IHI Corporation, Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, Ergo Versicherungsgruppe, Air Products Group, and Mitsubishi Corporation (UK).

According to Acritas: "Brand plays a significant part in the law firm selection process. As reputation and personality are translated into tangible benefits a law firm's brand provides reassurance for a buyer, helping to reduce risk in a client's mind when choosing which law firm to work with."
