WASHINGTON, D.C., 10 June 2010 – Two Hogan Lovells partners have been selected as "champions" and "visionaries" in Legal Times' special report, which was published on 7 June 2010.
Partner Robert Bennett was selected as a "champion", which recognizes those lawyers who "have upheld the profession's core values through public service, pro bono efforts and advocacy for civil liberties." The article highlights Bennett's seven-month pro bono investigation into allegations of corruption by Washington, D.C. Council member Marion Barry on behalf of the D.C. City Council. Bennett is a partner in Hogan Lovells US LLP.
For the "visionaries" category, Legal Times selected Hogan Lovells Co-CEO Warren Gorrell as one of nine lawyers whose “business or legal acumen has been key to expanding their firms, improving government or advancing the law." The article describes Gorrell’s leadership during the historic May 2010 combination of Hogan & Hartson and Lovells. Gorrell is a partner in both Hogan Lovells US LLP and Hogan Lovells International LLP.
