Hogan Lovells Partner Lisa Ellman Named Legal Times Rising Star

16 September 2015

WASHINGTON, 16 September 2015 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Lisa Ellman, Co-Chair of the firm’s Global Unmanned Aircraft Systems Group, was named to Legal Times’ D.C. Rising Star list. This annual listing profiles 40 of the “most accomplished young attorneys in the D.C. area.”

In selecting Ellman for this accolade, Legal Times highlighted her role in the Obama Administration, including at the U.S. Department of Justice, where she worked to craft policy that would govern the use of unmanned aircraft systems. “Few people in Washington know drone policy as well as Lisa Ellman,” wrote Legal Times.

A leading public policy lawyer in the firm’s Government Regulatory group, Ellman focuses her practice on domestic drones and other emerging technologies. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Ellman held a variety of positions at top levels of the Executive branch at the White House and the U.S. Department of Justice.
