Hogan Lovells Partner Dominic Perella Named Legal Times Rising Star

WASHINGTON, D.C. 15 September 2014 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Supreme Court advocate Dominic Perella, a partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, was recently named to the prestigious Legal Times D.C. Rising Star list. This annual listing profiles 40 “game-changing lawyers” age 40 and under.

Perella was selected for his “magic touch” in capturing the attention of U.S. Supreme Court justices; in the past three years, he has written five winning U.S. Supreme Court briefs. Furthermore, attention was called to his upcoming argument debut in the closely-followed Maryland State Comptroller v. Wynne case.

Perella was also lauded for his regular representation of high-profile firm clients in the federal appellate courts. He has an ongoing relationship with Ford Motor Company, scoring them a win in the Fourth Circuit this spring in Priority Auto Group v. Ford Motor Company. Perella likewise prevailed in the D.C. Circuit in a significant pro bono matter, APPG v. Department of Defense, where he represented members of the UK Parliament in a dispute over foreigners’ freedom-of-information rights.
