A Hogan Lovells team achieved a significant victory before the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit Court on behalf of  Espíritu Santo Holdings, LP. protecting its interests and control rights in a multibillion-dollar Mexican taxi meter business.

In a summary order issued 10 January, the Second Circuit affirmed the grant of an injunction by a New York federal court in aid of an ICC arbitration. The injunction bars L1bero Partners from trying to seize control of the partnership and operating affiliates comprising the taxi meter business in dispute. In its unanimous summary opinion, the Second Circuit affirmed the injunction in every respect.

The Hogan Lovells team representing Espiritu Santo Holdings was led by partners Mark Cheskin and Richard Lorenzo in Miami, and David Dunn in New York. The team also included counsel Jessica Black Livingston in Denver, and senior associate Benjamin Fleming in New York.
