This year the Financial Times had a strong focus on celebrating sustainability and collaboration. In addition to a top ten ranking, the firm was shortlisted across three categories including:
Mark Parsons, who heads the firm’s Asia-Pacific region regulatory practice, was commended in the FT’s “Moving the Market” category, which the report highlighted that those firms at the top are all becoming “future-ready” law firms.”
It said: “Partner Mark Parsons worked with the Hong Kong Association of Banks to create a new regulatory framework for the use of application programming interfaces (APIs) in the financial services sector in Hong Kong. The framework is designed to create a collaborative and flexible contract-based open banking regulatory system, allowing banks and API users to compete to introduce more services and products.”
The firm further featured in the report for our sustainability efforts and as a case study for best in practice, highlighting our client work to devise flexible contracts for Netherlands-based environmental non-profit organisation The Ocean Cleanup.
Regional Managing Partner for Asia-Pacific, Lloyd Parker, commented: “We are honoured to be recognized by the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers awards series to be one of the top 10 most innovative law firms in Asia-Pacific.
