Hogan Lovells Named as Official Greenpower Supporting Partner
19 May 2015
London 19 May – Hogan Lovells, has been made a supporting partner to the UK charity Greenpower Education Trust, thanks to its continued pro bono support.
The Hogan Lovells pro bono practice draws on the experience of professionals in more than 40 offices worldwide to improve the lives of those without access to justice or the means to hire lawyers. This practice meets the legal needs of charities and non-profit social enterprises.
Greenpower runs a series of race championships designed to get young people involved in sustainable engineering at an early age. Students from primary school age to university level build and run their own all-electric racing cars.
Alastair Shaw, Of Counsel at Hogan Lovells said: "We are delighted to become a supporting partner of Greenpower and look forward to continuing our work with the organisation. Providing high-quality legal services to fantastic educational charities like Greenpower as well as to those most in need and least able to pay is an integral part of being a lawyer. At Hogan Lovells we take that responsibility very seriously."
Greenpower CEO, Jeremy Way, said: “Hogan Lovells has provided us with significant support to date and we wanted to recognise that by elevating the company to full partner status for the 2015 season. As a charity, Greenpower is constantly striving to spread our work with young people further and wider and, in order to do that, we need the support of forward-thinking companies like Hogan Lovells.”
