Hogan Lovells Middle East Commercial Practice Honoured at Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2015

14 May 2015

Hogan Lovells Middle East is pleased to announce our commercial practice has won Commercial Team of the Year 2015 at the Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards. Our Middle East team have worked on several complex commercial projects during the last year, representing both regional and international clients. This Award was based on the strength and innovation of our advice, specifically our work for the World Free Zones Organisation (WFZO), a new multinational body that will oversee some of the fastest growing economic regions of the world.

The WFZO is a new non-profit entity operating as an association for all Free Zones around the world. Established in Geneva, Switzerland and headquartered in the Dubai Airport Free Zone in the United Arab Emirates, the WFZO will provide global leadership in knowledge of Free Zones, enhance public knowledge and the perception of Free Zones, and provide a range of services for its members and the community.

Hogan Lovells was a key advisor to the WFZO, its Steering Committee and Board of Directors on the association's establishment and organisation, coordinating with local counsel in Geneva and providing advice and assistance not only in Switzerland and the UAE, but across numerous jurisdictions around the world as part of the establishment process, including the United States, Nigeria, France, China and Morocco.

Our Middle East practice was also shortlisted for International Law Firm of the Year, Corporate Team of the Year and Banking, Finance and Restructuring Team of the Year at the Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards 2015. This win for the Middle East practice recognises the quality of our work and exceptional reputation in the market.
