Hogan Lovells makes it five years in a row with WILEF Gold Standard recognition

Washington D.C., 8 June 2017 – Hogan Lovells is proud to announce that it has been awarded Gold Standard Certification by the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF), the fifth straight year that the firm has achieved this important industry recognition.

The firm was one of just seven US firms to achieve Gold Standard in all award criteria.

Hogan Lovells has been recognized in all but the first year of the awards. This year, 44 firms were awarded Gold Standard Certification, an increase from 31 in 2016.

Since 2011, WILEF has granted Gold Standard status to firms that meet specific criteria in seven categories. The categories include percentage of female equity partners, compensation relative to male equity partners, percentage of female equity partners of color, and percentage of female LGBT equity partners.

In order to achieve recognition, firms must have at least 300 practicing lawyers in the United States, and must demonstrate that women represent a meaningful percentage of their equity partners and executive positions in governance and compensation.

The award highlights Hogan Lovells’ commitment to diversity and inclusion. Among major law firms, Hogan Lovells has female leadership in 40 percent of senior roles, one of the highest percentages in the legal profession.
