Hogan Lovells Leads the Field with Nominations for Five Asia Women in Business Law Awards

ASIA, 2 November 2011 - Hogan Lovells Asia offices have been recognised for commitment to gender diversity and equality with nominations in five categories for the upcoming Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards.

Hogan Lovells has been nominated in four of the five international 'firm of the year' categories, including:

  • Best international firm for women in business law
  • Best gender diversity initiative by an international firm
  • Most innovative international firm
  • Best firm for talent management

The nominations also include individual recognition for Gabriela Kennedy (Partner, Hong Kong) who has been nominated for Best in TMT.

The inaugural awards celebrate the accomplishments of women in the legal sector in Asia and are given to firms that have shown outstanding achievement in supporting the development of women and providing innovative work/life programmes to enable women to pursue legal careers.

Important in Hogan Lovells' nomination is the successful 'Breaking Barriers' programme which was established by Gabriela in 2009. The initiative brings professional women together to offer intelligent and thought-provoking seminars and networking events and is demonstrative of Hogan Lovells' commitment to the development of women in professional careers in Asia.

To be nominated across so many categories is resounding recognition for Hogan Lovells' continuing commitment to diversity and equality. We are delighted that the success of programmes including 'Breaking Barriers' and the excellent work of partners such as Gabriela Kennedy have been recognised.

The nominations also reiterate the success of our global commitment to diversity and inclusiveness and follow other recent international initiatives and recognition.
