Hogan Lovells is Recognized by the Human Rights Campaign for Achieving a Decade of LGBT+ Equality

Washington, D.C., March 28, 2019 – International law firm Hogan Lovells has been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) with a 100 percent rating in its 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the tenth year in a row, earning the designation as a Best Place to Work for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBT+) equality.

The CEI report evaluates LGBT+-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, and competency.

"We are thankful that we have achieved this recognition for ten years," said Leslie Richards-Yellen, Hogan Lovells' Director of Inclusion. "Diversity is key to making us a more effective organization, and we have consistently developed initiatives improve our diversity and culture."

Over the last year, Hogan Lovells has continued to support its LGBT+ people at a local and at a global level. We have expanded our trailblazing Pride + Network, a program  of existing internal LGBT+ networks across the firm aimed at promoting LGBT+ inclusion, including in the UK, U.S., Continental Europe, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. Pride+ promotes equality across all 23 countries in which Hogan Lovells operates. Since its founding in 2017, our Pride+ Network has grown to nearly 1,500 members. We have also signed the Mansfield Rule 2.0, which commits the firm to measure, tracking, and improving the composition of women, minority, and LGBT+ candidates for lateral hiring, senior leadership positions, and business development activities.
