Hogan Lovells advised Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, in relation to the issue of an unsecured senior preferred bond for an amount of €500 million. The bond has a fixed rate and a three-year maturity and is addressed to institutional investors.

This is the first issue of a senior unsecured bond by Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena since the start of the restructuring plan.

The bond, which will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, pays annually a fixed coupon of 4% and is issued under the Euro Medium Term Notes programme of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena.
