22 November 2012
LONDON, 22 November 2012 - Hogan Lovells has been selected by Swiss-based digital security provider Kudelski Security to be a recommended legal advisor for its new cybersecurity unit.
Hogan Lovells will be providing proactive and post-incident legal advice surrounding cybersecurity to Kudelski's clients, helping them to protect their digital assets from cyber-threats.
The protection of electronic data and IT infrastructures against unauthorised use, theft and sabotage is a growing technical and legal challenge for companies and public institutions. The sources and scope of cyber risk are now global and organisations require coordinated global legal advice to respond.
Hogan Lovells has a worldwide team advising clients on cybersecurity-related legal risk management, compliance, incident management, public policy and regulation.
Marcus Schreibauer, partner in the firm's Dusseldorf office and a member of the firm’s cybersecurity team, said:
"With cybersecurity incidents becoming more complex and larger in scale, technical and legal efforts must coordinate to effectively protect organisations and their assets, and to minimize the effects of incidents that might occur. Hogan Lovells’ international footprint, experience and team approach enable us to provide comprehensive support to clients in this rapidly evolving area of practice."
