Hogan Lovells Houston lawyers make strong showing in 2018 Chambers USA rankings

HOUSTON, 4 May 2018 — Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that three of the firm’s Houston lawyers were recognized in the 2018 edition of Chambers USA published by Chambers & Partners, a legal industry ranking publication. This recognition confirms the Houston office’s growing recognition in the Texas market and nationwide in several key practice areas and industry sectors.

The annual guide ranks lawyers and law firms based on interviews with lawyers, clients, and corporate counsel. Kevin Lipson was ranked as Senior Statesman for Nationwide, Energy: Oil & Gas (Regulatory & Litigation); Bruce Oakley was ranked in Band 4 for Texas, Litigation: General Commercial; and Jeff Whittle was ranked in Band 3 for Texas, Intellectual Property.

Overall in the U.S., Hogan Lovells had 145 lawyers recognized as top in their fields and achieved rankings in 60 key practice areas and industry sectors. Twenty-nine Hogan Lovells lawyers were also recognized as Band 1 practitioners, up from 28 in 2017.

In addition to another strong showing in the rankings, Chambers USA shortlisted Hogan Lovells for its coveted Award for Excellence in three categories – Environment (including Climate Change), International Trade, and Privacy & Data Security. The firm won the award last year for Privacy & Data Security.
