Hogan Lovells Hires Corporate Team in Berlin
18 July 2011
BERLIN, 18 July 2011 - Hogan Lovells has hired a team of five corporate lawyers, who join the Berlin office today, Monday 18 July. Former Broich Bezzenberger partners, Karin Arnold and Dr. Thomas Keul, join Hogan Lovells with two associates and an Of Counsel: Dr. Martin Greiser, Michael Vette and Dr. Gerold Bezzenberger.
Karin Arnold has an excellent reputation for corporate restructuring and general stock company law. Her corporate and real estate notarial office is a significant addition to the Berlin office of Hogan Lovells. She is a board member of the Berlin notaries' chamber.
Dr. Thomas Keul advises primarily on company and capital markets law, as well as on M&A transactions. He is highly regarded as an adviser for stock corporations and private equity firms.
Dr. Gerold Bezzenberger, who joins as Of Counsel, is one of the most well known corporate lawyers in Germany, with a particular focus on stock company law. For more than 20 years he was a member of the presidium of the German "Schutzvereinigung für Wertpapierbesitz" (Protection Association for the Ownership of Securities). With these latest additions the Berlin corporate practice now comprises 16 fee earners including six partners. Globally, the Hogan Lovells corporate team now has more than 1,000 lawyers located in the world’s major financial centres.
"For us Hogan Lovells was clearly the first choice in Berlin. We are convinced that this is the right platform to further develop our corporate practice and to offer our clients a wider service in fields we previously could not cover due to our size," said Karin Arnold.
Hogan Lovells Co-CEO, David Harris, said: "We continue to invest in our corporate practice and are delighted that the attractiveness of our global platform allows us to attract another high calibre team in Europe."
