Hogan Lovells guides Evinced in US$17 million Series-A funding

Press releases | 04 February 2021

Silicon Valley, 4 February 2021 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells advised Evinced as it successfully completed a US$17 million Series-A funding round. The funding will allow the Palo-Alto-based company to launch its suite of products aimed at helping developers improve disability access when creating and designing apps.

This first round of fundraising was co-led by M12, Microsoft's venture fund, BGV, Capital One Ventures, and seed investor Engineering Capital.

Evinced’s technology uses artificial intelligence, computer vision, and other algorithms to automatically detect accessibility problems during the development cycle, while suggesting code changes to remediate the issues. This allows users to improve accessibility compliance and maintain accessibility over the long term, while reducing associated expenses and legal liability.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by Silicon Valley partner Nate Gallon, with support from Shanghai-based senior associate Yu Xia.
