Hogan Lovells Grows Communications Practice in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, 9 November 2015 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Thomas Sugrue has joined the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as of counsel in the Communications Practice Group.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Sugrue was Senior Vice President of Government Affairs at T-Mobile USA, where he directed T-Mobile’s regulatory and legislative activities at both the federal and state levels. Previous to his work at T-Mobile, Sugrue served as head of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) Wireless Bureau for more than four years, and as Deputy Administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) for six years.

Sugrue earned his B.A. in physics and mathematics from Boston College, his Master’s degree in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government of Harvard University, and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.
