Hogan Lovells’ global tech M&A leader named Top 100 California Lawyer for fourth consecutive year

Silicon Valley, 17 September, 2021– For the fourth  year in a row, leading Hogan Lovells M&A partner Rick Climan has been named to the California Daily Journal's prestigious list of the Top 100 Lawyers in California. Climan serves as Global Head of Hogan Lovells’ Technology M&A Practice.

Climan, who brought his large, Silicon Valley-based M&A team to Hogan Lovells in 2017, has helped establish the firm as a tech M&A powerhouse.  Throughout his career, he has played a major role in prominent technology M&A deals in the U.S. and internationally. The Daily Journal’s profile singled him out for leading Marvell Technology’s acquisition of publicly traded Inphi Corp. in a complex semiconductor megadeal valued at approximately US$10 billion, which closed earlier this year. The  Northern California team that Climan leads, which also includes partners Keith Flaum, Jane Ross and John Brockland, has practiced together for over 20 years. Star junior partner Chris Moore joined the team seven years ago. They are renowned as thought leaders in the tech M&A field. The team has gained prominence through its innovative M&A Boot Camp training series, which Climan and his team members have successfully used to help build a pipeline of legal talent comprising the next generation of M&A stars.
