Hogan Lovells Expands in Amsterdam With new Finance Partner Hire

01 September 2015

AMSTERDAM, 1 September 2015 - Hogan Lovells has recruited finance lawyer Robert Masman to join its global finance practice as a partner in the Amsterdam office.

Robert specialises in asset based and structured finance, and has a history of advising high profile clients including leading commercial and investment banks on their Dutch and cross-border financing and capital markets transactions. He has a particular focus on the financial institutions, real estate and transport sectors.
His hire follows that of fellow banking partner Wouter Jongen in Amsterdam last year, with whom he will work closely.

Commenting on Robert's arrival Sharon Lewis, global head of Hogan Lovells' finance practice, said:
"Building our on the ground presence in Amsterdam is an important priority for our global finance practice as the Netherlands is such a key jurisdiction for cross-border banking and debt capital markets. Robert is highly regarded and his arrival will complement that of Wouter Jongen in October last year. We look forward to growing our practice together".

Robert added:

"Hogan Lovells' international name and reputation together with its ambitious growth plans for the finance team provides a unique opportunity to further build a high quality practice in Amsterdam. I look forward to working with Wouter and the other partners globally".

Robert joins the firm on 1 September 2015, from Clifford Chance.
