Hogan Lovells Expands Energy and Infrastructure Practices with Addition of Two Partners in Houston

HOUSTON, 9 February 2011 – Hogan Lovells US LLP announced today that David W. Locascio and José Luis Vittor have joined the Houston office as partners in the Infrastructure, Project, and Public Finance and Energy practices. They were previously partners at McDermott Will & Emery, where Locascio served as Co-Chair of the Project Development, Finance, and Infrastructure practice.
Locascio and Vittor focus their practices on the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects, both in the United States and internationally. They have extensive experience in a wide variety of transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, structured energy transactions, and exclusive energy supply arrangements.
Locascio and Vittor regularly represent energy companies, infrastructure companies and funds, private equity investors, and the energy divisions of financial institutions in energy and infrastructure projects and transactions.

Locascio has extensive experience in equity and debt financing for conventional energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, and real estate projects. He also represents financial institutions in the negotiation of financial derivative products, syndicated corporate credit facilities, project loans, and structured finance transactions for energy and infrastructure projects. Locascio is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Houston Bar Association. He holds a J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.S. from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Vittor represents large financial institutions and corporations in commercial and corporate transactions, public and private partnerships, project development and finance, and direct foreign investments in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the United States. He is a former president and a member of the board of the Instituto Argentino del Petroleo y del Gas, Houston. Vittor is also a member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association and the International Bar Association, and is a founder member of the Society of British and Argentine Lawyers. He holds a J.D. from the University of Buenos Aires and a LL.M. from the University of Houston Law Center.
