13 April 2015 – Hogan Lovells has today expanded its antitrust offering in Paris with the addition of Eric Paroche, who joins the firm as a Partner from Cleary Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton.

Eric's practice focuses on EU and Competition law and he has considerable experience on high profile merger investigations, cartel cases, state aid, and antitrust counselling.  Prior to joining Cleary, Eric worked at the Directorate-General for Competition within the European Commission. He also lectures on competition law at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris.

Janet McDavid, co-leader of Hogan Lovells' Antitrust, Competition, and Economic Regulation (ACER) practice area said:

"We are really excited to welcome Eric to our Paris office. His notable experience on high profile antitrust work as well as his reputation in the market will be an important addition to our existing antitrust practice in Paris."

Suyong Kim, co-leader of the ACER practice, commented:

"The addition of Eric to our ACER team in Paris will help us to further develop in this jurisdiction, consistent with the high level of activity by the French Competition Authority."

Eric Paroche added:

"I am looking forward to joining Hogan Lovells' market-leading global antitrust practice and working at the very heart of some of the most high profile antitrust issues across the globe."
