LONDON - 24 JUNE 2010
Hogan Lovells Finance group has recruited Stuart Brinkworth as a partner in the Banking practice in London. He is the second lateral hire to join the London office in the last month, following the recruitment of Suyong Kim to the Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation practice. He joins Hogan Lovells International LLP on 1 October 2010.
Stuart is currently a partner at SJ Berwin in London, where he specialises in acting for UK and international lenders and borrowers on a variety of leveraged finance transactions, including leveraged buy-outs, public bids, trade purchases and recapitalisations.
Commenting on Stuart's arrival, Matthew Cottis, Co-head of Hogan Lovells' Banking group, said:
"Stuart brings new connections, relationships and experience, which the London banking team will benefit greatly from. The practice has performed very well through the recent downturn and as we see brighter times ahead we're keen to strengthen the practice and capitalise on the opportunities that will present themselves in the next couple of years."
Stuart Brinkworth said:
"I am very pleased to be joining Hogan Lovells at such an early stage in the development of the firm. In particular, I am very excited to be joining one of the best acquisition finance teams in the market and one which has a reputation built on the quality of its people and its international reach, which makes for a truly compelling proposition for clients. I cannot wait to get started and look forward to working with my new colleagues to build a world class practice."
