Menlo Park, CA 21 September 2017 – International law firm Hogan Lovells announced today that Mike Frank has joined its Silicon Valley office as a partner in its Corporate Practice. Frank is a prominent Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits (ECB) practitioner, and adds a significant new capability to the firm’s Northern California practice.

Frank’s joining follows on the heels of the addition of the five-partner strong M&A and technology transactions practice of Richard Climan, Keith Flaum, Jane Ross, John Brockland, and Chris Moore earlier this summer.

“Mike’s technology ECB-focused practice has a strong market reputation,” said Martha Steinman, Co-Chair of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice. “His arrival bolsters our ability to deliver executive compensation services to clients we are doing transactional work for both locally and globally. Executive compensation, in particular equity-based, is a key concern in M&A as well as for startups and established businesses.”

Over the course of his 22-year career, Frank has earned a reputation as one of the most innovative and progressive ECB practitioners in California. Frank’s clients have included many major technology innovators.

“This is another step in our focused investment in key markets. Mike’s arrival strengthens the bench of our expanding transactional practice in Northern California,” said David Gibbons, Global Head of Hogan Lovells’ Corporate Practice. “His addition is part of our strategic commitment to expand our technology and life science industry-focused M&A capabilities.”

Frank joins Hogan Lovells from Sidley Austin’s Palo Alto office, where he was a partner. Prior to joining Sidley Austin he was a partner at Morrison & Foerster. He graduated in1995 from the University of Michigan Law School.  He is also a graduate of Stanford University and Grinnell College.
