Hogan Lovells Boosts Germany M&A Practice with Major Hire

Dusseldorf - Hogan Lovells' M&A practice has kick started the year with the significant hire of market leading partner Birgit Reese.  Birgit, who is expected to start in February 2016, joins from Allen & Overy in Dusseldorf where she has been a partner since 2008. Prior to A&O, she was a partner at Shearman & Sterling LLP. 

Reese's practice focuses on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions and joint ventures as well as restructurings, capital markets advice, public takeover law and general corporate advice including boardroom and corporate governance advice.

She has a significant focus on insurance and reinsurance companies and also regularly advises financial institutions, where her major clients include Talanx Group and BHF-BANK.
