Hogan Lovells advises IST3 Infrastruktur Global on shareholding in Altice France's fiber optic network business

Press releases | 02 May 2019

Led by Frankfurt counsel Dr. Alexander Stefan Rieger and partners Dr. Carla Luh and Philip Brown, Hogan Lovells has advised the Swiss pension fund IST3 Infrastrukture Global jointly with Allianz Capital Partners (ACP) in a consortium with OMERS Infrastructure and AXA Real Assets on the acquisition of a 49.99% stake in the "fibre-to-the-home" (SFR FTTH) business of Altice France for a purchase price of approximately EUR 1.7 billion.

SFR FTTH is a newly created business which will develop the fibre connectivity of 5 million households in France. By the end of 2019, the expansion to approximately one million households is planned. The coverage of a further 4 million households is being prepared for the medium term.

This makes SFR FTTH the largest alternative provider of fibre infrastructure in France. The transaction is one of the largest fiber infrastructure investments in Europe to date.
