Hogan Lovells advises Intuitive Surgical on the acquisition of Schölly's robotic endoscope business
Led by Munich partner Peter Huber international law firm Hogan Lovells advised the American medical technology company Intuitive Surgical Inc. on the acquisition of the robotic endoscope business of German Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH.
Intuitive, a global leader in robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgery and Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH, a market leader in the field of visualization systems, have been working together for more than 20 years, developing and producing imaging systems for Intuitive's Da-Vinci surgical systems. The acquisition of Schölly's robotic endoscope business will help strengthen Intuitive’s supply chain, and increase its manufacturing capacity for imaging products.
Hogan Lovells has advised Intuitive on the contract negotiations and in all legal issues.
