Hogan Lovells advises Covestro on the sale of its European polyurethane system houses

Press releases | 21 June 2019

Led by its Dusseldorf partner Jens Uhlendorf, international law firm Hogan Lovells advised Covestro AG on the sale of its European polyurethane system houses in Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain and Italy to H.I.G. Capital.

Covestro (formerly Bayer MaterialScience) is one of the world's largest polymer companies. Its business focuses on the manufacturing of high-tech polymer materials and the development of innovative solutions for products used in many areas of everyday life. The DAX company divested the European system house business by way of a combined share and asset deal.

Hogan Lovells advised Covestro AG with an international team in connection with the implementation of a structured bidding process, the due diligence carried out by the individual bidders, and the preparation and negotiation of the underlying contractual documentation.
