Hogan Lovells advises Dagmar Vogt Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH on partial sale of ib vogt

Press releases | 27 October 2021

Led by its Hamburg partner Matthias Hirschmann, international law firm Hogan Lovells advised Dagmar Vogt Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH on the sale of its 51% share in ib vogt GmbH. ib vogt GmbH is one of the world's leading developers of photovoltaic facilities. The shares were bought by the DIF Infrastructure VI fund of DIF Capital Partners (DIF), one of the world's leading independent fund managers for infrastructure investments.

The sale is the biggest transaction in connection with a solar portfolio developer. The sale and the cooperation serve to ensure ib vogt's growth and to accelerate the installation of photovoltaic facilities. In addition, ib vogt is to be converted from a mere solar development model to an independent electricity producer which develops, owns and operates solar and battery projects.

The transaction is subject to authorisations and approvals by authorities, and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2021.

An international Hogan Lovells team strategically advised Dagmar Vogt Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH during the contract negotiations from post-signing to closing as well as during the seller due diligence.

Matthias Hirschmann, head of Energy Germany, said: "We are happy to have advised Dagmar Vogt Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH on such an important and pioneering transaction. The cooperation arising from this sale will help to reduce worldwide greenhouse gas emissions and thus make an important contribution to the fight against climate change."
