Hogan Lovells advises banks on placement of EUR 750 million mortgage covered bonds of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG

Led by Frankfurt partner Jochen Seitz international law firm Hogan Lovells has advised the joint lead managers Commerzbank AG, Credit Agricole CIB, Danske Bank A / S, DekaBank, DZ BANK and Bankhaus Lampe KG as co-managers on the placement of mortgage bonds of the Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG.

2020 started with increased activities on the debt issuance market. Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG was among the issuers which have placed bonds during the time. The mortgage covered bonds in the form of Mortgage Pfandbriefe issued on 17 January 2020 have a nominal value of EUR 750 million, a term of eight years and an interest coupon of 0.100 percent. Mortgage Pfandbriefe are the main refinancing instrument of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG, which is one of the largest issuers of mortgage covered bonds in Europe.  As a specialized bank for real estate and public investment finance, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG issues Mortgage Pfandbriefe and Public Pfandbriefe on a regular basis.
