Hogan Lovells Associate Shortlisted for The Lawyer's Assistant Solicitor of the Year Award in London

24 May 2010

London, 24 May 2010 - Hogan Lovells associate Anna Mills was nominated for Assistant Solicitor of the Year for her impressive representation of a woman accused of maliciously prosecuting her alleged rapist. The case went to the Court of Appeal after 13 years of litigation in which Anna's client was allegedly attacked and then sued for malicious prosecution. Had the case not been successful, the already very low conviction rate in rape cases would have certainly fallen even further. This case protects women bringing charges of serious sexual assault against spurious claims of malicious prosecution.
