Hogan Lovells appoints Omar Guerrero as new Office Managing Partner of its Mexico City and Monterrey offices

Mexico City, 18 December 2020 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Omar Guerrero has been named Office Managing Partner for the firm's Mexico City and Monterrey offices effective 1 January 2021.

Omar has been with the firm since 2014 after Hogan Lovells merged with prominent Mexican firm Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres-Landa. He currently heads the arbitration and litigation practice and co-heads the antitrust practice of our Mexico offices.

Omar advises companies in the pharmaceutical, hospitality, telecom, food, construction, IT, and agro-business industries in the areas of competition, commercial and administrative litigation, reorganisation, and bankruptcy and commercial arbitration. He enjoys academia and has written a great amount of thought leadership on competition, litigation, and arbitration; he also currently teaches commercial arbitration and competition law to undergraduate and graduate students.

Omar succeeds Juan Francisco Torres-Landa who became Head of the Latin America Practice Group earlier this year.
