Hogan Lovells Appoints New Amsterdam Office Managing Partner

13 March 2014

AMSTERDAM 13 March 2014 – International law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that from 1 July corporate partner Jan de Snaijer will be taking on the role of Office Managing Partner of the firm’s Amsterdam office.  Jan will be taking over from Klaas Bisschop who has managed the office for the last seven and a half years.

Jan currently leads the Amsterdam corporate law team which focuses on corporate structures and reorganisations, share transactions, partnership agreements and joint-ventures.  The team also works closely with the banking team in creating security rights.

Jan de Snaijer said:

I look forward to serving as Office Managing Partner at this exciting time of growth for Hogan Lovells and for our Amsterdam office.  The office has recently been involved in a number of significant projects, including advising Liberty Global on the US$1 billion sale of its international content division Chellomedia to AMC Networks; acting for several parties in a case against the Dutch Government on compensation following the nationalisation of SNS REAAL and SNS Bank; acting for one of the derivative providers to the Vestia housing association; and acting for Mitsubishi Motors Corporation on the sale of NedCar".

After 1 July Klaas Bisschop will continue to focus on his IP and litigation practice.
