20 May 2014
MADRID, 20 May 2014 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that from 1 June corporate partner Lucas Osorio will be taking on the role of Madrid Office Managing Partner. In addition to his work in the corporate field, Lucas heads the Madrid infrastructure practice and will be taking over from Jose Luis Huerta, who has managed the office since 2010.
Christoph Kueppers, Regional Managing Partner for Continental Europe, said:
"Our Madrid office makes a significant contribution to the success of Hogan Lovells' practice in Continental Europe and the office is also key to a lot of the firm's work in South America. José Luis has helped to build our reputation in the region over the last four years and ensure that we maintain our position as one of the leading firms in this area."
Lucas Osorio added:
"Our Madrid office has been involved in a number of significant projects in the last year, including operations on assets located in different jurisdictions, conducted by Spanish and international investors. Our Madrid office had a strong performance last year across all our practice groups. Spain continues to have a number of attractions to investors, including maintaining very good relationships with the booming economies of South America, as well as parts of the U.S. such as Florida, Texas and California. Its proximity to northern Africa also provides a good springboard for investors into those markets. We are a leading firm in the Spanish market and we look forward to continuing to build on that reputation".
