WASHINGTON, D.C., 18 March 2013 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that counsel Anna Kurian Shaw (Washington, D.C.) has been selected for the 2013 Fellows Program of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD), a national organization made up of the legal profession’s top general counsels and managing partners. Shaw joins a class of 160 U.S. lawyers who have been selected as LCLD Fellows for the year.
The LCLD Fellows Program identifies high-potential lawyers from diverse backgrounds and places them in mentorship roles focused on leadership and business development. Over the course of the year-long fellowship, individuals participate in a robust professional development program which includes extensive contact with LCLD’s top leadership along with managing partners and general counsel who volunteer to discuss professional experiences and challenges.
“Hogan Lovells’ active role with LCLD speaks volumes to its commitment to diversity,” said Shaw, whose practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, counseling, portfolio management, and transactional matters. “I am honored to have been selected for this opportunity.”
Founded in 2009, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity is a growing organization of more than 200 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a truly diverse legal profession. Its goal is to help its member organizations find, hire, retain, promote, and engage the best talent.
