Hogan Lovells advises the senior lenders and tax investors on an award-winning Aircraft Finance Insurance Consortium (AFIC) deal

Hogan Lovells advised Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking, Ingepar (a subsidiary of BPCE), Agence Française de Développement, Crédit Industriel et Commercial and several other financial institutions as senior lenders and tax investors on a complex AFIC-supported French Overseas LODEOM Tax Leases of two 787-9s for Air Tahiti Nui. This is the first AFIC supported deal of this kind and it has been recognised as the Asia Pacific Supported Finance Deal of the Year at the Airline Economics Aviation 100 Asia Pacific Awards in Hong Kong on November 5 2019.

It also involved negotiations with the government of French Polynesia.

Our asset finance team across the globe is at the forefront of the market's search for new and innovative sources of finance and we are proud to have advised on a number of AFIC financings since the product was launched."

The team was led by banking partner Alexander Premont, supported by senior associate Philippe Monfort and associates Alexandre Salem, Antoine Baroulier, Ouassila El Asri, Tam Tran and Javed Allybokus.
