London, 27 March 2015 – Hogan Lovells has advised JP Morgan Cazenove, Cenkos Securities and Oakley Capital on the London AIM listing and £30 million placing of Zegona Communications plc.

Zegona Communications plc (Zegona) is an operating company established with the objective of acquiring businesses in the European TMT sector with a ‘Buy-Fix-Sell’ strategy to deliver significant long-term shareholder returns.

It focuses on network-based communications and entertainment opportunities, having been established by ex-Virgin Media executives, Eamonn O’Hare (Chairman and Chief Executive) and Robert Samuelson (Chief Operating Officer).

The Hogan Lovells team advising was led by London capital markets partner Daniel Simons; with partner John Basnage and senior associate John Holme.

Commenting on the listing, Daniel said:
"Zegona is the latest in a trend of cash shell companies joining London's capital markets. This is an important and high-profile deal for our clients JP Morgan Cazenove, Cenkos Securities and Oakley Capital, and we have enjoyed the opportunity to further cement our relationship with them, as well as with the team at Zegona and other leading supporting institutional investors".
