Hogan Lovells Advises IGN on Sale of Direct2Drive

LOS ANGELES, 1 June 2011 Hogan Lovells is pleased to announced that it advised News Corporation’s San Francisco-based subsidiary IGN Entertainment in connection with its sale of Direct2Drive, a PC game digital distribution service, to GameFly, Inc., the leading online video game subscription service.

Direct2Drive is a leading distributor of video games and will continue to provide more than 3,000 PC and Mac titles for gamers to purchase and download digitally. News Corporation will retain an observer seat on the board of directors of Los Angeles-based GameFly.
