Hogan Lovells advises Bureau Veritas on acquisition of Inspectorate

Hogan Lovells has advised Bureau Veritas on its £450m acquisition of Inspectorate from Inspicio, majority owned by private equity firm 3i and funds managed by 3i. 

Bureau Veritas is the world's second largest group in conformity assessment and certification services. The transaction is a major step forward in Bureau Veritas' development and places them among the top three globally for commodities testing and inspection.

The transaction, completion of which is subject to clearance from the relevant regulatory authorities, was announced on 22 June 2010 and is expected to complete during Q3 of 2010.
