Hogan Lovells Adds Of Counsel Timothy J. Conley to Automotive Group

LOS ANGELES, 14 March 2011 – Hogan Lovells announced today that Timothy J. Conley has joined the Los Angeles office as of counsel in the Automotive industry sector group. He previously served as Vice President and General Counsel to Honda North America, Inc.

Conley will advise franchisors on a wide range of market representation matters, including dealer upgrade and incentive programs; product allocation matters; add-points; terminations; and the development and enforcement of dealer performance standards.

As Vice President and General Counsel to Honda North America, Inc., Conley coordinated all legal matters for the U.S.-based Honda subsidiary, including the development of corporate governance and compliance systems, revisions of discovery systems in response to litigation, and the development of a new subsidiary company to respond to the challenge of intellectual property rights. Prior to this position, Conley also served as General Counsel for Mazda North American Operations and Assistant General Counsel to Nissan Motor Company in the United States.

Conley also served as President of the Association of Corporate Counsel Southern California chapter, the world's largest organization serving the professional and business interests of lawyers who practice in the legal departments of corporations, associations and other private-sector organizations around the globe.
