Employment Practice Expansion for Hogan Lovells Amsterdam

Amsterdam – 21 March 2016 - Hogan Lovells is continuing with ambitious growth plans for the Netherlands by hiring senior associate Maria Benbrahim (34) within its Amsterdam employment practice.

Employment lawyer Maria specializes in corporate law with a focus on employee participation, corporate governance, director contracts, and board room disputes, in financial law including flexible and fixed remunerations, bankers oath, suitability and reliability examination, and in administrative law including WNT1, and law surrounding whistle-blowers.

Commenting on Maria's arrival Anita de Jong, head of Hogan Lovells' Amsterdam employment practice, said: 

"Our international employment practice has seen strong growth in the past year, with the number of cross-border transactions and reorganizations greatly increasing. Maria will work mainly with our international clients and will strengthen our expertise in the field of remunerations within the financial sector, corporate governance, employee participation and whistle-blowers. She will also play a valuable role in advising clients as well as service providers on first and second generation outsourcing transactions."

Maria started her career with Clifford Chance in Amsterdam in 2006. In 2013 Maria moved over to Stibbe where she worked within the Employment, Pensions and Incentives practice group.
