Daily Business Review Honors Parker Thomson With Lifetime Achievement Award

16 April 2014

MIAMI, 16 April 2014 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that Daily Business Review (DBR) recently honored Parker Thomson with a Lifetime Achievement Award. At the annual Litigation Department of the Year event in Miami, DBR recognized Thomson for his lifelong dedication to pro bono service.

“Hogan Lovells is thrilled that Daily Business Review chose to recognize Parker for his unmatched dedication and commitment to providing legal services to those most in need,” said Richard C. Lorenzo, Miami office Managing Partner. “We are very proud to have Parker as a part of our team and grateful for his many years of service to Florida.”

Since moving to Miami in 1961, Thomson has devoted a substantial part of his career to pro bono cases that persuade the courts to take the best progressive course. His most notable engagements include arguing doctor-assisted suicide before the Florida Supreme Court and most recently, leading the efforts in representing the Florida Public Defender in excessive workload litigation.

Each year DBR presents Lifetime Achievement Awards to lawyers who have left an imprint on the legal history of Florida over the years.
