Washington, D.C. – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that CJ Harrington, an M&A associate in the firm’s Corporate & Finance practice group and the Sports, Media, and Entertainment sector, has been named among Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 in Sports.

CJ is the only practicing lawyer named among the honorees, which include some of the biggest names in the sports world. Other honorees include WNBA star Caitlin Clark (a member of CJ’s hometown team, the Indiana Fever), Olympic USA women’s rugby player Ilona Maher, world number one golfer Scottie Scheffler, and Boston Celtics player Jayson Tatum.

Since joining Hogan Lovells in January 2022, CJ’s practice has grown rapidly. In addition to sports, CJ also advises large corporate clients and private equity investors on mergers & acquisitions strategy and execution.

CJ was nominated for his role advising on some incredibly significant transactions over the last few years. These include ownership changes at two NFL franchises, the Denver Broncos and the Washington Commanders, numerous sports sponsorship agreements, and helping Washington Spirit owner Michele Kang in her groundbreaking agreement with OL Groupe (Olympique Lyonnais) in the creation of the world’s first woman-owned, multi-national, multi-team women’s soccer organization.
