Asian Legal Business Ranks Hogan Lovells First in Intellectual Property

01 April 2012

Asian Legal Business (ALB) released its rankings on Intellectual Property on 9 April 2012. Over 40 firms were ranked and Hogan Lovells is one of four firms listed in Tier 1. The other firms in Tier 1 are Baker & McKenzie, Bird & Bird and Jones Day.

Over the course of the last two months, ALB‘s journalists spoke to a wide variety of lawyers and clients for feedback.  The results are based on five key metrics: portfolio of clients; client feedback; firm visibility and profile in the marketplace; volume, complexity and size of work; and presence across Asia.

The analysis describes Hogan Lovells as an "intellectual property titan" and says that the firm "maintains a leading position in the market due to a deep bench of exceptionally experienced lawyers, and a strong geographic reach across the region."

It goes on to say: "Peers hail the group as 'a very strong presence, especially in pharmaceuticals and brand enforcement,' and note that 'we see them often on the other side of cases.' Clients describe the team as 'very impressive in handling litigation.' "
