All-round strength helps Hogan Lovells to shine in 2018 Chambers Global Rankings

London/Washington, D.C., 28 February 2018 – Hogan Lovells is proud to announce that the firm has again improved its showing in the Chambers Global rankings. The 2018 rankings, among the most widely-recognized in the legal industry, acknowledged the global capabilities of Hogan Lovells across multiple business sectors and legal practices.

Chambers ranks lawyers and law firms annually, based on in-depth interviews with lawyers, clients, and corporate counsel. 

Hogan Lovells was promoted in 13 categories and recognized in 13 new categories, including Employment (South Africa), Banking & Finance (Netherlands and Global-Wide), Tax (Global-Wide), and Mid-Market Corporate M&A (France).

The rankings also recognize individual lawyers who are acknowledged as leaders in their field, elder statesmen, and up-and-coming. Partners Lavery Modise (Johannesburg, Employment), Matthew Cottis (London, Banking & Finance), and David Hudd (London, Capital Markets) were named as “Eminent Practitioners,” while nine lawyers were named in the “Up and Coming” category.

Overall the firm achieved 26 top tier practice and sector rankings out of 181 total practice and sector rankings, as well as 26 Band 1 ranked individuals out of 281 ranked lawyers, representing offices from as far afield as the UK, France, Vietnam, Australia, Brazil, and Indonesia.
