Advising The Felix Project on its acquisition of FareShare's London operations

London, 17 November 2020 – Hogan Lovells has advised The Felix Project on a pro bono basis on its acquisition of FareShare's London operations. The deal makes Felix, already London's biggest distributor of surplus food, the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

A key component of the deal was FareShare's food distribution centre in Deptford. Acquiring the food distribution centre will allow Felix to increase its food distribution capacity by 100 tonnes a week. As part of the deal Felix and FareShare also entered into a network collaboration agreement which will underpin an ongoing partnership between the two charities.

David Hudd, senior counsel at Hogan Lovells (and its former Deputy CEO), commented: "The Felix Project tackles two major problems in today’s society – poverty and food waste. This deal will allow both charities to deliver food more effectively to those with the greatest need in London."
