Molly Newell leverages her policy experience on the Hill to help clients navigate the dynamic international trade landscape.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Molly most recently served as a Senior Legislative Assistant to a member of Congress. She was responsible for several policy portfolios including trade during the 2015 Trade Promotion Authority reauthorization process. In this capacity, Molly participated in bipartisan congressional delegations to discuss U.S. trade priorities with U.S. trade partners. She also was responsible for the Representative's House Foreign Affairs Committee and Education and Labor Committee assignments. To further bipartisan cooperation and gain valuable area expertise, Molly also completed the PSA-Harvard Negotiation Program and Wilson Foreign Policy Fellowship Program while on the Hill.

During law school, Molly gained additional insight into the intersection of law and policy as a law clerk at both the U.S. International Trade Commission and the Department of State's Office of the Legal Advisor. She also developed more specialized skill sets, including comparative legal analysis, as a Georgetown Global Law Scholar and Law Fellow. Molly served as an Executive Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal's Annual Review of Criminal Procedure.
