Nathan Buckley

Nathan Buckley focuses on advising lenders (including commercial banks, development finance institutions and institutional investors) and sponsors on project finance and other structured finance transactions in the infrastructure and energy sectors, both in the UK and internationally. Nathan's experience includes infrastructure acquisition finance and portfolio financings (particularly in the renewables sector).

Representative experience

Advising Legal & General, EIB and a major UK bank on their joint funding of the Royal Liverpool Hospital PFI project.

Advising the mandated lead arrangers on the financing of the Essex Waste PFI project.

Advising the mandated lead arrangers and EIB financing the £500m Nottingham Express Transit Phase 2 project.

Advising the lender group in relation to the debt restructuring for the Isle of Man ferry business.

Advising a large German financial institution on the transfer of a multi-billion euro infrastructure loan and securities portfolio, including advice on secondary debt trading.

Acting for TAQA Power on its financing of the U.S.$325m Takoradi 2 Power Project in Ghana.

Advising Lloyds' infrastructure funds in relation to various revolving credit facilities.

Advising the mandated lead arrangers on the financing of the acquisition and ongoing construction of a portfolio of 3 wind farms in Ireland.

Advising lenders financing the acquisition of a portfolio of 9 operational wind farms in Ireland.

Advising the MLAs financing the development of an IWP in Oman.

Advising a group of lenders supporting a sponsor bid for the acquisition of a portolfio of renewable assets in Western Europe.
