Luigi Nascimbene

Luigi is a Senior Associate in our Antitrust, Competition and Economic Regulation (ACER) practice. He has joined Hogan Lovells in October 2016, after gaining more than 10 years of experience in the Italian and Belgian offices of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP.

Luigi has graduated with honors from the State University of Milan law school in 2001. In 2004, he received an LL.M. degree from U.C. Berkeley –Boalt Hall School of Law on scholarship awarded by the State University of Milan law school. While at Boalt Hall, he was also a visiting scholar, conducting research on antitrust and intellectual property related matters.

In Hogan Lovells, Luigi will be assisting Italian and international clients from a wide range of industries in every major area of antitrust and competition law, including complex multi-jurisdictional mergers and joint ventures, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance and restrictive practices cases.

He will also help clients anticipate and avoid antitrust issues, offering on-going advice, compliance audits and interactive training.

Assisted The Dow Chemical Company in the acquisition of sole control of the Dow Corning Corporation and in the planned merger with DuPont*

Assisted Whirlpool Corporation in the acquisition of the Italian major domestic appliances manufacturer Indesit Company S.p.A.*

Assisted ENI group in the synthetic rubber cases COMP 38638; COMP 40032; COMP 38629 and in related appeal proceedings brought before the EU courts*

Assisted DHL Italy in the international freight forwarding case I701 before the Italian Competition Authority,Italian administrative courts and European Court of Justice*
